New Gun Show in Austin

I would be interested to see a review from someone who attended the gun show in Austin this weekend. It's put on by Texas Gun Shows which I know nothing about. I've given upon the Saxet shows. They've turned into a haven for shark type gun dealers, trinkets, toys, and jerky. Just wondering it this one was worth going to..

'where is this show? If I can get over my allergies/head cold, I might try to go by Sunday. I hadn't heard of a new show in Austin - but we certainly need another one.

It is at the old Target store at the northeast corner of the intersection of IH-35 and William Cannon.

I didn't go, or know about, the show this weekend, but I went a month or so ago for their first one at that location.

They didn't come anywhere near to fillin up the space, but there were a goodly number of vendors. It was not packed like Saxet, but I am sure they wish that it had been. I found everyone friendly and there was a pretty good selection.

I would go back.

It is the same on that is run here at the Live Oak Civic Center. I sold my AMT380 there after getting the LCP. Overpriced ammo, no dealers really. Mostly the same stuff. Haven't seen the one they do on my side of town (off Evans Rd) but the Civic Center one leaves a bunch to be desired. Kinda like a gun garage sale.

If you think that the Live Oak Civic Center was lame you really don't want to pay to attend the show on Evans Rd. The Evans show had about half the number of vendors and a good chunk of those were not really gun related. At least the SAXET show had enough guns that I felt that I could try just about any gun for size and a couple of vendors actually had some reloading supplies.
