my husband - Update - He's home!

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

my husband - Update - He's home!

Post by quidni »

Please keep my husband Steve in your prayers. He suffered a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) i.e. mini-stroke yesterday (Saturday) and is currently in ICU for monitoring. While he's responding well to treatment, it's only the grace of God that it wasn't a full-blown stroke. They'll be doing a "couple MRIs" and other tests in the morning so we can work on preventing this from happening again.

Many thanks,
Carla

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

You and Steve will be in my prayers. My wife had a TIA a few years ago she's doing very well now. God bless.

I had a TIA (they said) the day the Columbia blew up and carotid artery surgery (roto rooter) a couple of days later. Other than being quite disgruntled with the scheme of things, I'm fine. Your husband will be too.

Good luck and God bless.

Prayers from the Cottons as well. TIA's are scary, but they can also be life-savers if people follow up.

Many thanks for the prayers - they are being answered. Still waiting for the MRI to happen, waiting for other test results to come back. They'll probably move him to a regular room this afternoon. Finally gave him something to eat just a little while ago; he hadn't eaten since lunch yesterday and THAT grumpiness was adding to his overall frustration. The son has headed home for some sleep, a shower and change of clothes & he'll be back if not tonight then early tomorrow am. In-laws are driving and will be here in the morning.

Other than managing only 2 hours of sleep between 0530 yesterday am and right now, I'm doing ok. Just trying to make sure he grumps at me and not at the nurses. :grumble
