Either shoulder holster or mousegun in clip-on IWB. I usually wear a Beretta Model 21 IWB or a P7 in vertical carry shoulder holster, Bianchi X15. Without a decent belt it's difficult to carry even a compact. Horizontal carry shoulder holster is more likely to print, also in this type of social situation it's difficult to defend against the unexpected pat on the back that may land directly on your horizontal carry.
it's socially unacceptable to be ahead of your time.

Are ankle or pocket holsters not in vogue? If CC is a really big issue, you could call in sick. :smilelol5:

The Kramer Undershirts work VERY well. I gave carried a Makarov and a Glock 30 in one.

It is very deep cover and no one will notice. There are no bulges. The only way you can be made is with a full embrace under the arms. It also eliminates the problem of exposure if the jacket has to come off off for some reason.

It is not a rapid access situation, but is workable, and a lot better than going unarmed. If you suspect a problem is developing you can always undo a couple of buttons to speed the process.

Always get the full length rather than the 3/4 length, and it is a good idea to wear a T-shirt or underarmor type shirt underneath.

Why is there a need to wear a t-shirt under it? To prevent chaffing?

Yes, that to so extent, but primarily because it is an artificial fabric and a cotton T or UA shirt just makes it feel better. Any chafing will only come from the little velcro tabs to close the pockets under each arm.

It is really fairly comfortable in cool weather but like any polyester shirt can feel a bit clingy in warm temps.

You want to get a snug fit. It keeps everything close to the body. I use one pocket for the weapon and the other for a spare magazine. Also helps with the balance. The shirts are well made and work very well.

It is a holster to be used when deep cover will let you carry when a speedier to draw method of carry just won't work. It is not fast draw but it is a heck of a lot faster than running out to the truck/car.

Thanks CWOOD! It seems like a suitable alternative to me. I'm pretty small, and a "t-shirt shoulder holster" seems like it would foot the bill. Plus, in looking at the website, they've lowered the price on those to $33.00.

Muchas gracias! :txflag:

Pocket carry is the easiest solution. I carry my Kahr PM9 in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster in a business suit quite often. Works just as well with a tuxedo, or most anything else.

S&W J-Frame in an ankle holster. . . or a boot holster. . . depending on your footwear of choice.

(I'm the throwback Fort Worth guy who prefers to wear black full-quill ostrich boots with my suits and slacks.) :)

I decided that its a good idea to have a smaller gun available so i picked up a Ruger LCR. I am thinking about carrying it in something like the 5.11 holster shirt or a shoulder holster like this(link) so i am not tied to the jacket. Certainly not a fast draw, but better then not having it.

And hey, now I've got a BUG. :woohoo
It can happen here.

Never bring a pistol to a shotgun wedding.
If I had a gun for every ace I have drawn, I could arm a town the size of Abilene.
