I was not sure exactly where to place this thread.
I bought my dad a Ruger 10/22 so that he could go squirrel hunting with his friehds. He had been looking for one for a long time and I ran across it at a gun show. Problem is that I live in San Antonio and he lives in Missouri. How can I get this to him for relatively cheap? Thanks in advance!

Cheaply or legally?
The cheapest legal way is for him to find a local FFL who will do the transfer and then you ship it to his FFL.

Cheapest way I know:
Get a copy of your fathers dealer's FFL (Scanned and emailed, faxed, or snail mailed).
Box the rifle up, make sure there is no ammo in the box.
Take copy of FFL and go to the post office.
Mail the rifle to the address on the FFL with insurance and delivery notification.
This is legal only for long guns, DO NOT TRY IT WITH A HANDGUN UNLESS YOU ARE AN FFL.

How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

Excellent advice. Just did this. Took a little while but the post office finally got it.
