CHL application question......

Post by mrvmax »

A co-worker took his CHL class but has not sent the packet off to Austin yet (he took the class a few months ago). Is there a limited amount of time for him to submit the application? I was wondering if he took too long if he would have to retake the CHL class.

If memory serves me right, he has 2 years to submit his packet to DPS IF he got his packet from the CHL instructor.

If he ordered his packet directly from DPS online, then he has one year to get it turned in.

just have to be patience there are like 40 people working on apps thats including some troopers , theay said they are working as fast as possible. So (we) as appliciants have to make sure all our paperwork in all there and good so they wont reject anything. FBI likes to reject figerprints all the time if something is not right with them. So all the blame doent rest with the DPS people.

I would say , no , they still have apps backlogged from a couple of months. They told us ( the class ) to be patience, they are working as fast as possilble. They even have apps from South Tx , from pre hurricane Ike. everything is so messed up down there still.
If anything is messed up on your app , they would let you know.
