This is an excellent resource to bookmark and have available for your next flight. His information about securing your bag to prevent theft was particularly interesting.

Generally a pretty good commentary, but only generally, there are several specifics where he has strayed from the absolute facts, but to include all of the variations would make the article that much longer.

Not every bag with a firearm in it will be sent to secondary screening, every bag will be screened, firearm or not.

ALWAYS lock a hard case carrying a firearm, and TSA doesn't care if you have a lock on an outer bag and on a case inside.

A few other nits to pick, but time forfends.

This is the part I like the best. You can lock your hard case with a real padlock that is only opened in your presence. I really like this feature.
