Nahhhh, it's a term Father Mulcahey used in the TV series M*A*S*H, I think it means humor or kidding around. But it seemed to fit. You DO remember the series don't you, or am I that ancient?

BTW, I think you may be confusing "hadji" with "hajji" where "hadji" is defined by the Urban Dictionary as "used as slang by troops in Iraq to describe an Iraqi citizen. Usually used in an offensive context" and "hajji" is someone who has successfully completed the Hajj.

I think it's different English spellings of the same Arabic word. The word itself is not offensive but it can be used in a derogatory way, like yankee or hippie or gringo or gaijin or popo.
