Couple murdered in Austin

As the story states, the man who was killed was the son of John Goosey, M.D., a prominent Houston doctor who specialized in surgery and diseases of the eyes. I had the distinct pleasure of training under him when I was in school, and I have nothing but good things to say about this man. He is not just a surgeon, but an artist. He truly loves his job and cares for his patients and has a very soft-spoken, trustworthy demeanor with a contagious smile and laugh. During my time with Dr. Goosey I also had a couple of chances to meet his son, who was just a strapping young kid in middle school and truly a chip off the old block. This tragedy is, as always in cases like this, unexpected and shocking. The statement released by the Goosey family is heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. Two people cut down in their prime. Thanks in advance to all who can spare prayers for the families of the victims of this terrible story.
