any experience with the GSG-5

Post by solaritx »

Does anyone have any experience with the MP5 knock-off called the GSG-5 in .22LR?

Looks like a fun plinking gun and in .22 would make it much easier on the pocket book.

If you have some background with the weapon, also......where did you get it and what price range.

Thanks

I have one, and it's a lot of fun. The GSG-5 is much cheaper to shoot than my 94 and all most as much fun. They are a bit pricey as far as .22's go though. I bought mine from Bud's.

They look really cool. I have held a few at the local gun shows and they feel very cheap for the 450-600 price tag I have seen on them. I just don't like all the plastic on them. It does not feel like the polymer the frames of Glocks and XDs are made from. It feels like a G.I. Joe toy gun to me. I really want one, but just can not justify spending that kind of money on something like that. If they were $300 or so like the Ruger Charger or 10/22's and felt similar in quality they would fly off the shelf.
