Same here. I think I spent $10 on the holster and maybe $5 on a bag of zip ties to secure the holster to the seat frame. In my case, the pistol fits firmly in the holster, so I don't use the thumb break. thats what i did .
a cheap nylon holster from Academy with a thumb break is firmly attached under my truck seat .
its just out of view , but can easily be reached and drawn .
Anywho, I only use that on long trips where hip-carry would be uncomfortable. For short trips, I just keep it on the hip as I don't like to draw from one and re-holster in the other any more than I have to.
