Positive Plano PD Stop

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

Positive Plano PD Stop

Post by PappaGun »

I was working late on Friday night and just finished my last call at about 9 PM. I'm in air conditioning and I drive a lot all over the Dallas metroplex.

And I know where the PD's like to patrol.

So how stupid was I that I drive through one of the most notorious and strictly enforced 45 mph zones in Plano at 55 (McDermott).

I see brake lights all around me so I hit my brakes. I never saw the officer, but I saw the lights behind me 30 seconds later.
He asked for the usual info. and asked where I had been and if I was heading home. I was.

I handed him my DL and CHL together. I have them taped together so I can only present them together and not be accused of not doing so. I was not carrying as I was in a company vehicle and I told him so when he asked.
He did a quick warrant check and sent me on my way with a verbal warning.

I've always heard that the Plano PD reputation is pretty hard line. But this officer was polite and reasonable IMHO.
