Pistols equipped with bayonets, anyone?

Post by surprise_i'm_armed »

Recently I saw a picture of a semi auto handgun (could not determine the brand/model)
that had a serious bayonet attached to the accessory rail.

I cannot imagine under what circumstances you would equip your pistol with a bayonet.
It seemed over the top.

If you can't drop your bad guy with a magazine's worth of ammo, I don't think the bayonet
is going to put that zombie down either.

The floor is open.

CZ made a police pistol with integral bayonet. Probably not suitable for so called 'Mexican' carry.
it's socially unacceptable to be ahead of your time.

CZ makes a bayonet package for their P01 pistols. It looks cool, and I would rather have one and not need it then not have it at all. I could see how it would be helpful in trench warfare maybe.

Gearheart:

Thanks for the video links.
That guy in the top video can keep his bayonets, but let me have that XDM!

Lonewolf & I went into the gun shop after we finished at the range. I saw a pistol with a knife attached to the rail underneath. I didn't pay much attention to it because it looked silly to me. I THINK it was a Sig but won't swear to it. But it matters not of the gun, because any gun with a rail would fit it. It was a bowie blade about 4 inches long. Any way, the knife bayonet is available, if you are so inclined.

Edit to add: I just watched the video and that was the knife.

I never liked a bayonet on a "real" rifle (M14) on a pistol, it's ridiculous. A real K-bar in the hand beats a mall ninja trinket on the rail.

It would really stink if you were used to MC, forgot about the bayo, and tucked it in your pants without thinking (or in a hurry) - hey, it'll be on youtube in no time, if it's not already. There are idiots everywhere!
