Same here! That is most disturbing, and a must see for all forum members. That is truly worrisome.

I'm surprised that all pro 2A rights groups have not been publishing that news story through every resource available to them. I've received nothing from NRA-ILA weekly email newsletter about this.

I believe such legislation is so over the top it stands no chance of being pushed through. But, IMO it is an EXTREMELY dangerous piece of legislation, and must be watched and followed very closely, by all of us, individually and collectively.

Thanks for posting AEA! :patriot:

It appears that the news clip first aired sometime in the April 16 time frame, so it's old news, but that's the first I've seen of it.

Since no one has been all up in arms about it(that I have noticed), it MAY be a non-issue. I just don't know.

Charles, can you shed any light on this?

Yep, didn't notice that it was his first Mexico trip and not the latest........but, it is something I never saw him actually talk about.

I had seen several conversations on this particular Treaty, but this is the first time I have seen it come out of his mouth.......

CIFTA (the convention that the article you linked to is referencing) is much older than the visit(s) to Mexico, going back to the Clinton administration in 1997. It is actually a product of the OAS.

Obama did agree to promote it, but it isn't a treaty negotiated or created by the current administration (not that what Obama's doing isn't bad enough...).

Wow! Sometimes good o'l Lou gets a few right. He better watch it though, too many comments like that about "The Chosen One" and he could end up being head mail clerk.....
