Wow, that photo says it all. I never realized just how tapered the slide width of the LCP is. It's certainly thinner at muzzle end, but as it tapers wider toward the chamber it sure is a millimeter or two thicker.

That is a good-looking Kahr. Let us know how it shoots. Sure do like that it has legitimate sites on it.

What does the manual say about ammunition? Would this gun be able to handle Cor Bon, Buffalo Bore, or other hot loads? I'm assuming the barrel is solid like any Kahr and not the paper thin barrel of an LCP/Kel Tec?

I saw nothing as I glanced through the manual to indicate +P ammo was forbidden. I really didn't study the manual, although I would assume it is OK as my son shot the Buffalo Bore ammo in his LCP and it is a hot load. If the LCP can take it, I know this gun can handle it.

I almost forgot one very big difference...at least to me. The LCP does not lock the slide back after firing the final round...I always hated that. The Kahr does lock the slide back when the magazine is empty.

OH...and the sights on the Kahr are actually usable....they are real live sights...LOL...not just a hump in the slide. For those that like night sights, one can purchase night sights for the Kahr. The LCP...well??? Maybe not. I guess you could paint a glow in the dark dot on the hump.

Pretty much ... . I thought the term was accurate. I will admit it...I hated that LCP.

I just held one of these P380s for the first time yesterday. Put it right up against the store's LCP and they are extremely close in size. The Kahr seems a bit more "rugged" and the grip felt a bit better (LCP was sans the grip extensions, which would likely change the grip preference back to LCP). The Kahr sites are a distinct improvement over the LCP. Trigger on Kahr seemed nicer too, but I've learned over the years that the true test of a trigger is how it feels while live firing, not just dry firing.

GT Distributors in Austin had this gun marked at $469. A great deal considering some of the other prices I've seeen. But since I already own (and am happy with) an LCP it's not something I'm going to jump at. Plus even at $469, that's nearly a $200 premium over the LCP (which they had for $289).
