Property owned by a governmental entity

Can anyone shed light on what is, property owned by a governmental entity?

Exactly that

Property that is not owned by an individual, or a business.
But rather property that is owned by a town, city, village, state, county, federal, etc

Also includes streets, public transportation, etc.

Basically, if it's owned, purchased, or funded by tax dollars.

If you're talking about exemptions for 30.06, only state govt counts. Fed gets to set their own rules and override state law.

a post office?

a corps of engineers lake?

a park, national forest, national park, wildlife preserve, etc?

funny how many "off-limits" by Federal rule places are also explicitly made legal by TX State law.

That only prevents it from being considered trespass under state law. It doesn't override federal laws regarding whether or not one can have a firearm there to begin with.

If you carry a gun on federal property that bars it via federal law, you will not be charged under state law. that is correct.
Carrying on Federal property is specifically exempted under state law, and is not illegal under state law.

You will, however, be charged under Federal law.

It's like mom saying you are allowed to do something, but dad specifically saying you can't.
