If you get to Dallas send me a PM. I have a couple of nice handguns you can try out.

I'll bring some too! 45 acp, 44 mag, 44 special, 357 mag, 38 special, 9mm para, 25 acp or 22 lr. I can even break out the Contender. That'll include 22 K-hornet, 7mm TCU, 30 Herrett, 357 Herrett (all 10 inch) and I can even borrow my brother's 45/70 (14 inch). Let us know when and where and what you want to shoot. Single action, double action, semi-auto. So many choices.

Dude! Bring an Ace bandage and a cooler full of ice for your wrist after all that shooting.

It's okay USA1... We can have our own little party down here In the Cypress/Tomball/Spring Area :thumbs2:

Everyone in/around Houston should all get together when this Gentleman comes to town, and have ourselves a good time!

Actually, I think we should have a quarterly Forum Picnic in Houston.... somewhere we can all shoot of course.
Also, someplace we can BBQ as well... Any outdoor ranges have BBQ around? I know ASC is in George Bush Park, and there's picnic areas around there...
It's Central-Westernly Located-ish...

That would be awesome. A Day where we all meet up, BBQ, swap stories, and then go shoot any and everything we can bring!

Just be aware that much of the park around ASC is COE land.

True, and it falls under the following:
Title 36 -- Parks, Forests, and Public Property

CHAPTER 111 -- U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS

PART 327--RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING PUBLIC USE OF WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS ADMINISTERED BY THE CHIEF OF ENGINEERS

327.0 Applicability.

The regulations covered in this part 327 shall be applicable to water resources development projects, completed or under construction, administered by the Chief of Engineers, and to those portions of jointly administered water resources development projects which are under the administrative jurisdiction of the Chief of Engineers. ALL OTHER FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT WHERE APPLICABLE TO THOSE WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS.

327.13 Explosives, firearms, other weapons and fireworks.

(a) The possession of loaded firearms, ammunition, loaded projectile firing devices, bows and arrows, crossbows, or other weapons is prohibited unless:

(1) In the possession of a Federal, state or local law enforcement officer;
(2) Being used for hunting or fishing as permitted under 327.8, with devices being unloaded when transported to, from or between hunting and fishing sites;
(3) Being used at authorized shooting ranges; or
(4) Written permission has been received from the District Commander.
For those wondering, yes, GB Park is a 'water resource' because it is actually a reservoir used to store water and prevent flooding.

ASC Obviously operates under (3)

I guess we could try for (4)?
Let me try to dig up who is the District Commander for that district, and then we could put together a very nice letter for our picnic?

You might even check out a range that rents full autos and really blow a chunk of vacation money quick
It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end-to-end, someone would be stupid enough to try to pass them
