Hey folks.
Got a question for some expert out there...
Requested the CHL application online. Took my CHL class in late April. Passed it. Been a bum since, and also have recently moved to not only a different address than what's on the application.
Since all the info on the app still has my old address, should I just submit the app with that info and hope the license is forwarded to the new address since I have all my mail forwarded, or should I use the form to change the address at the time I submit the app with the fingerprints?
What's the best course of action?
In addition, since I've already PAID for the the application process using the online tool, do I need to still pay for the fingerprints when I get them done?

Guess I submitted this to the wrong section of the forum. Sorry.

Ron, you submitted your question in the right forum.
Have you received your license, or is your status complete and license active? If not, I'd suggest calling DPS and see if you can get a change of address. But don't wait...the sooner the better.
I've you have your license, or has been completed and active, then I'd think that you'd need to submit a change of address which I believe costs $25.00.
But either way, I'd call DPS CHL Licensing Bureau and get your directions from them.

Re: Address Change before submitting CHL Application
Well... I got it worked out.
What I was asking about was this (guess in my haste, I didn't make it clear, sorry):
I took the class in April. I had not submitted my app for the license until this week, but in between when I took the test and when I submitted the app, I had moved. I was wondering how I should handle it.
The folks at the regulatory office at DPS were very helpful and said to simply put the new address in the correction spot on the web form I filled out. They said it's be fine. No need to submit with the old address.
I was worried about the different address being on there because government form checkers are notorious about being sticklers for not accepting change on forms.
Crisis averted, hopefully...
Now... I wait... and wait... and wait...
