Something I just thought of, I bet all of theses tests were conducted with FMJ ammo. I wonder about shooting a Hollow point under water.

Hollow points expand when they hit water or stuff made out of water. Why don't you give it a try and let us know how it turns out?? ;-)

I'm sure everyone knows this, but don't go testing your firearms underwater. It's a bad idea to ever fire when you know the barrel is obstructed with anything.

That torture testing link on the XD was awesome and should inspire confidence to all
the XD owners.

I was surprised at the range owner's comment at the end that he doesn't keep Sigs and HK's
for range guns because they break too much. Since they cost more than XD's I figured that
they would be even tougher.

You can fire almost any firearm underwater, provided the barrel is full of water at the time. The problem comes in when the barrel is half-filled (it will usually kaboom) - and if your ears are underwater too, better wear plugs.

IMO this was the only post worth reading in this entire topic.
