Prayer request

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Prayer request

Post by quidni »

My mom-in-law, Eileen, is going in to Presbyterian in Albuquerque for what will hopefully be out-patient surgery to remove a tumor from one of her ovaries tomorrow. (We're told, if it's uneventful, it will likely be "in-and-out" in a day, day and a half. If "eventful" could be a longer stay.)

Please pray for a successful and uneventful surgery, and that my dad-in-law won't wear a rut in the waiting area pacing in circles!

I will add that they're both Christian, and neither feels any real concern no matter what the outcome of the surgery. They know the One Who holds tomorrow!

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

I will pray for them here & your DH also. The distance from you is great & that is always a concern.

Spoke with the folks just a little while ago. Everything was "completely uneventful" and while they're still waiting on the biopsy, there is "no expectation" on the surgeon's part that the tumor was malignant! Eileen was released this afternoon to return to the hotel, and the folks will be going to sister Susan's house in Durango CO for the recovery. (Both Susan and her DH are board-certified ICU and doctors in their own right )

Eileen sounded good on the phone; a bit more "vinegar" in her voice from the discomfort but otherwise cheerful and comfortable with the way things have gone.

God is truly good. Thank you so much for the prayers!
