CA: Story about prize-winning sheriff

California sheriff is a fifth-generation lawman, has won many shooting competitions.

I sometimes wonder if they have police-only competitions so that the cops are not out-gunned by the better non-LEO shooters. :mrgreen:

Yep, it's called PPC (Police Pistol Combat) Competition. I used to shoot in these when I was LEO. They have Tactical Police Competitions also. :thumbs2:

I knew that police-only competitions exist. I was only wondering about the rationale.

Note that the California Sheriff came from a family of Texas lawmen. :txflag:
