Side Benefit of CHL
I've managed to memorize my driver's license number. :)
I hadn't bothered with it because I rarely had a reason to look at it before now...

Took class, paid fees, changed my mind. I want constitutional carry.

That is funny because it caused me to memorize mine too. Don't know why I never did before, but I've got it down now.

The military will force you to have your social down in a day or less.
I used to have my dl down too until I was out of state too long and was forced to get a Colorado license. I finally got the new Texas one down in the process of checking my CHL though.

I'm a stickler about numbers, I know my DL SS etc etc even 2 CCs with expiration and security code. Came in handy one time when I left my wallet @ home and was running out of gas 150 miles away.

Re: Side Benefit of CHL
I know what you mean. A cop thought I was weird when I had to report my truck stolen and could rattle off the license plate without a reference. I still know a lot of old phone numbers as well. Newer ones I do not memorize so much. I blame that on the fact that they are all programmed into my phone more recently.stealthcrf wrote:I'm a stickler about numbers, I know my DL SS etc etc even 2 CCs with expiration and security code. I still remember the SSN of both of my ex-wives. Not sure which belonged to which, but I remember them.

I have a unique ability to take up useful brain cells with useless info....car tags from 25 years ago...deceased out of state relatives addresses...DL and SSN are locked up in there also.
Before the days of microchipping, I had my dog tattoed (no, they would NOT entertain a little heart on his leg with Mother inside-some 'show dog' people have no sense of humor) I used my DL number 'cause I figured in an emergency I already had that one memorized and wouldn't have to go look up a random number.
