Welcome ranger0286 and Major Congrats for what has to be record-breaking speed in issuing a CHL license for a Harris County resident! :thumbs2:

Holy light speed batman! That's incredible ranger0286. Super congrats! When did you submit the app, and when did it go to "processing application"? :clapping: :tiphat:

I applied and paid online on the DPS website, then I took the class Aug. 9, and then submitted the packet Aug. 11. I never received a PIN number, so I don't know about the "in processing" situation. I called the DPS last week and they said my application was in printing, and then I got the plastic today. I don't know why it was processed so fast.

I hate you.

Just kidding! Congrats. Maybe this means that DPS is fixing their problems.

Mine only took 192 days, but that was prior to the coronation of hussein obama.

That's fantastic! FWIW, I've had several students lately report back getting theirs in around 60 days - and a man out last night who had just got his in 41 days door to door.
