We went because seniors get in free today. I got my CHL and DL out and the lady with the metal detector failed to find my 9mm on my hip. My wife walked thru with 2 metal knee replacements and the woman failed to detect her either. Shocking lack of security. The first cop I found was on a golf cart and I flagged him down. He seemed disinterested when I told him and said "At least you have a gun for your safety".

I'm with this thinking here. Take their incompetence in stride and make note of it in case anything hits the fan later. At least you know that you'll need to watch your own back Considering Gemini's post above, don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Sounds like maybe the lady"s metal detector may not have been working right, but who knows. For me, I would have not flagged down the LEO.
