Tried out my Taurus 94

Guys,

I'm sure many of you read my posts about my new Taurus 94 with the loose sights that literally fell apart in my hands before I got a chance to even load live ammo into it. Well, Cabela's was very cool about it and gave me a new one, but I was still skeptical of the model, considering that brand new revolvers seldomly fall apart in one's hand. I just took it to Red's and put 150 rounds through it and...VICTORY!

It's as accurate I am, the sights stayed tight, and the operation worked flawlessly. The DA pull is a bear, but I consider that the trade-off for such a nifty rim fire 9 shot snubby. I just wish I could make it louder, it's embarrassing when the guy next to you is vibrating your counter with his .45 and your's sounds like a paper cap gun. Oh, and another 50 through my LCP; I've lost count, but it's between 600 and 700 flawless rounds, and it's hardly a picky eater.

it sure makes you feel better when your gun actually does what its supposed to do .

BTW , i know the feeling about shooting a small gun next to the big boy guns .
that's why i always take the .45 also .

P.S. this reminds me of something funny that happened at the range .

there was an older woman that was obviously shooting for the first time at the range .
she had some kind of small revolver . i don't recall what kind .
her husband was standing just behind her shoulder instructing her to be calm and relax .
he was telling her to breath slowly and take her time , ect.

well , that was just about the time i rolled up next to her , pulled out the .45 and proceeded
to take my first shot ....BOOM !

i thought the poor lady was going to jump out of her skin .
she was so focused on her aim , grip , and stance , that she didn't even see me next to her .

each shot i fired made her jump .
during the break , i apologized for startling her . she said "its ok , i have to get used to it"
she didn't stay much longer after that .

Congratulations on the way the new gun works. It is always good to get things worked out like that.

And, if you want to console yourself about the noise difference, compare the size of the price sticker on the ammo box. Number of shots per dollar is always better than number of dollars per shot.

I love the quote, and yes it does make me feel better. I kept dipping my hand into that big box 'O Federal without even thinking about price, or availability. I'm so fond of this little gun because I've always wanted a revolver, but I just don't think they're practical for concealed carry; so when the need for a cheap plinker came along, I was able to scratch that itch with this little treasure.

I got a .22 LR conversion kit for the Glock 19 for just this reason. It is fun to shoot but I am thinking of rigging up a microphone and amplifier for the bang part
