Have a carry question

Post by garcia946 »

I have a quick carry question.
My son is having a Fall Carnvial at his school. It will be outdoors at the school NOT indoors. Can I carry if I wanted , or should I not?
I`m thinking since it`s a school ( or right outside a school ), off limits..... Am I correct??
Feeback please.... :bigear:

School sponsored functions are off limits, even outside.

I have the same thing going on at my daughter's school...in the parking lot and field....I wish that I could carry, but I also know that I would be committing a big NO-NO in doing so....all in due time though...

IANAL, but dropping off and being in the parking lot for regular school is permissible. Only sponsored events (school carnivals, football games, band concerts, etc.) are off limits.

The main thing about schools is to stay away from school events and out of buildings. A CHL holder can be on the school grounds all they want unless a school activity is going on in the general area as was already posted. If we have to go into a building then remove the gun and ammo and lock them in the car. It is dumb as can be but that is how things are for now.

The only real gray area I see is an enclosed walkway or outbuilding without doors which I have never seen on at a school. However, internet opinion isn't going to stop a prosecution. :rules:
