Shoot Out At Route 66
Must see video. Check out the dude doing covering fire between street dancing near the end. Man, he must have wasted some siding. The scene was four blocks west of the University of Toledo. Looks like people really exercise their Second Amendment rights in Toledo. Your Gun-Don't Leave Home Without It.

Re: Shoot Out At Route 66
That is just flat amazing, all those rounds and supposedly no injuries.
The outdoor video is concurrent with the indoor one, and most of the shooting happens all at the same time, so you have to wonder what the guy dancing around and shooting outside was shooting at, he was feet below floor level.
I also got a kick out of the bartender, calling 9-1-1 and when he sees the first gun, he's out the door.
One guy comes out the door at the end limping and says something about his foot, so he may actually have been injured.

Re: Shoot Out At Route 66
I noticed during the outdoor portion of the video, one of the shooters seemed to be providing "cover fire" into the doorway behind his buddy, who was standing in the doorway. What these criminals possess in terms of lawless bravado, they make up for it with lack of sense.

Someone needs to show these people how to aim and hit their target, lots of wasted ammo.

But, but, firearms are prohibited in bars. How could this have happened? Sarah?

That West Toledo bar looks like a serious thug hangout.

Re: Shoot Out At Route 66
Apparently Toledoans are astonished at the fact that bad guys carry guns despite laws and signs, and that they're willing to use them too. It looks like this was quite a revelation to some.

Re: Shoot Out At Route 66
The only thing I could think about when I first saw this on FOXNEWS this morning was that this is how innocent people to include children get shot.
This is not "people really exercise their Second Amendment rights" at all. This is criminals misusing their rights and they are not protected under the 2A. I point that out for people that may read this and not understand the comment was a sarcastic remark like I hope it was. Not a flame but that sort of statement left not commented on confuses people about what our rights really are. I understand the humor but I am concerned the uneducated will misunderstand.casingpoint wrote:Must see video. Check out the dude doing covering fire between street dancing near the end. They must not have a chance to install their HoMeBoY (TM) Nyte-Sytes yet, it really is hard to aim gangsta-style without the proper alignment tools:

Re: Shoot Out At Route 66
All kidding aside, it is the right of the citizens of Toledo, as elsewhere in the U.S., to pack guns without any infringements upon that right, according to a government document I read in college. How they use them is entirely another matter. I was merely remarking on how many citizens in that bar were validly exercising their rights. They do need some help with marksmanship, however.
I might add that this is a classic example of how peoples' fear under gunfire causes them to reflexively cower down and withdraw. And also wet their pants. Borrowing a page from military science, you can then mount an assault with much reduced risk to yourself, move in and annihilate the enemy. Don't stop. Keep moving and shooting until the threat is gone. All but the most battle-tested individuals will exhibit this behavior on many occasions under fire. Not exactly the stuff of concealed carry law, but it could save your life.
