Sigma was designed to simulate the feel of a double action revolver as a transition weapon for officers changing from a revolver to a pistol. A trigger pull of about 10 lbs is necessary for the weapon to function. However, if the trigger pull is excessively heavy or rough, those issues can be addressed. If you would like to send it in for repair:
Put your name, address, phone number, and the issue(s) that you are having inside the case with the gun. Take it to a FedEx service center (not a FedEx Kinkos or a mom & pop place) or there are sometimes FedEx Express Drop boxes at US Post Offices. Go to FedEx.com to find your closest shipping location. Ask for a white medium express box, they will give it to you free of charge (don’t let them “sell” you a box). Smith & Wesson only pays for the shipping, not the shipping materials. Please include all magazines if there is a feeding, misfire, and or extraction issue.
ü On the shipping label address it to the address below:
ü Your Return Shipping Address: By Federal Law, we must return it to the address used on the shipping label.
ü In section4a) mark the box second day air
ü In section7) mark the box bill to recipient, on the line write this account # 2456-8820-2, and on the line total declared value write the cost of the gun
ü In section mark the box direct signature required. We will repair it and send it back to you.

Re: Factory Instructions for SIGMA Trigger Job
I've been away from the forum for a while, so if this has been discussed in another thread, I missed it. Can you point me to anything to help me figure out if I should send my SW40VE off for service?
Re: Factory Instructions for SIGMA Trigger Job
We did with my better half's Sigma. Got it back in a week. The trigger is still heavy, but Frank's work did help. I think now it just needs more rounds down the barrel to smooth it out. It's shootable now, at least.
Hey, it's free, easy, and it helped.

Re: Factory Instructions for SIGMA Trigger Job
Yes, I've done it twice.
First SIGMA came back smooth a glass and still at 10lbs. I have no problem shooting it.
Second SIGMA left out of here at the first of the week. I expect the same results
One will be my "truck gun", so the heavy trigger is safe and perfect for the job.

Re: Factory Instructions for SIGMA Trigger Job
OK, that's what I figured.
Mine is less than 10 lb and super smooth (I already did the fluff and buff kind of stuff). If someone can make this thing run 6-7 lb then I'd go for it, but I don't think it's possible without either changing the striker spring and risking light strikes, changing (or removing) some sear springs and risking it not resetting the trigger/sear when shooting +P or +P+ ammo, or changing the trigger bar to increase the leverage (and travel) of the trigger. Problem is that the striker is not partially cocked by the slide motion. It's a design issue.
