Sig P229 holster issue

Post by killerfly128 »

Well I just got my hands on a Sig P229 non rail and have a bit of a issue on choosing a holster for it. I am torn between a Crossbreed Supertuck or a Comp Tac MTAC. My other problem is I dont have a holster in the mean time. Anyone have a P229 IWB that they dont use that I could borrow or buy for cheap? I am in DFW and in serious need of a IWB by saturday night.

Uncle Mike's Sidekick. $20. I think #8 or 9 will fit that pistol, but don't quote me on that. Dump the retention strap -- you don't need it with an IWB double-action.

Every sporting goods store has these holsters.

Uncle Mike's is much better than nothing and much less expensive than almost everything.

Agreed, I almost picked up a $10 holster from cheaper than dirt to tide me over till I get my crossbreed in. Ordered it about 5 minutes ago, prolly wont get it until wed-fri of next week.

You could get your Comp-tac quicker than that!

True, I am a little concerned about the thickness of the leather portion. I am leaning in the direction of the MTAC because of Crossbreeds CS lately. I had the owner of Crossbreed talk down to me when I call him about a broken holster that is covered under warranty. I am real close to canceling my order in the morning.

I just got a MTAC and holster thickness is not an issue. If you have enough room for the gun at your waistband you will have enough room for the gun and holster.
