New Kimber Custom TLE II

Post by G.A. Heath »

Picked up my new Kimber Custom TLE II which is the blued full size .45ACP 1911 with factory night sights and a few other features. I haven't got to fire it yet but the gun appears to be well made with high quality components and tight tolerances.

I had to take about 20 minutes off work after lunch to pick it up, then I didn't get home until midnight. I field stripped it when I got home, now I am detail stripping it.

Nice handgun, I'm sure that you will enjoy shooting it. I have the Custom II, a somewhat more basic version of that line of Kimbers, it shoots every time!

Well, I did manage to clean it and get off to the range on my way to work this morning. I only had one malfunction and that was the operator forgot to bring enough ammo. I thought I had 200 rounds in my range bag, turns out I had 100 rounds and 100 empty casings from my last range trip.

Always have to completely strip, inspect, and clean them.

and some of us have accumulated enough spare parts over the years doing that, we can build a whole new gun, or fishing reel, weed eater, lawn mower.....
