That is an absolutely beautiful holster and belt. I looked at that set up several times over the past year or so and didn't buy it because it looks like an open carry rig. Is it or am I mistaken...please let me know as I may reconsider. I realize you can wear a jacket or the ole Hawaiian shirt over it, but I lean more towards inside the waist ban type rigs.

The HF1 rig in Tuckers web page will conceal very well. I have 2 of those holsters. One is plain & the other tooled. The tooled one is the one in my signature line. I cover w/ a vest most oall the time but in the real heat of the summer I do occasionally wear a Hawian shirt. You will need more length on your cover garment w/ the OWB than the IWB. IWB is more comfortable to me & a quicker & easier draw.

My .02cents & some think it worth about half that.

longtooth,

The extra bit of wrap around leather with the attached Texas medallion looks really nice, but I wonder if it causes the holster to be a bit less concealable by virtue of it's extra bulk?

I can see that it might if you are covering w/ something thin, tight or clingy.

I will tell anyone that OWB is not for everyone.
Since I am a Country boy & dress w/ a western style, starched & ironed, vest almost exclusively, it is a non issue. 2 examples:

This one I dont remember what I have under it for sure. Probably a 4"1911.

This one I took only as an example to show that you can carry a really BIG gun if that is what you want or need to do. Under this vest I had a Ruger GP100 w/ 4 inch barrel & bullet loops on the holster. It covers & conceals fine w/ quality gunbelt & good leather holster. The vest is lined, starched & ironed. You cannot cover this gun w/ thin hawaiian shirt that "fits".
I have carried this gun when doing training, demos, or to show that it can be done.
Not my choice for daily carry but if a guy has a 4" revolver, just got his CHL, cant afford a new gun, he can still carry it & cover w/o getting busted. Not a heat of the summer rig for sure in this picture.

Here is the gun & holster. Again I confess that OWB is not for everyone. Some have to dress in tucked white shirt. Desantis Tuck This, Crossbread Tuckable (I have 2 :banghead: :banghead: ) are not for me.

Tucker is junk. None of you should buy them.
That way, the wait won't be so long when I order my next one. :biggrinjester:

I've got The Answer IWB holster for my Kimber Ultra CDP II and think it's the most concealable holster I've ever tried, and very comfortable and well-made. That's my #1 concealment holster. I've also got one of their Bullhide Gun Belts which is the stiffest gun belt I've tried, just what's needed to support and distribute the weight of a pistol for all-day carry and/or fast draws. And I have their Single IWB Mag Pouch, another well-made product.

The Silent Thunder Champion is very high on my wish list. And someday I hope to get an HF1 similar to the OP's, with matching belt and mag pouch.

So yeah, I'm a fan.

Well darnit! My Christmas list grows ever longer. I didn't even know what a Silent Thunder Champion holster was. After looking at the website, I've added it to my list.

I shoot USPSA and want it as a competition holster for Single Stack division. Right now I'm using my leather pancake from Kirkpatrick, which is a great holster but not nearly as fast.
