TJ Max Scenario

Post by texas1234 »

Thought about this scenario.

At a TJ Max store yesterday two masked men came in with guns, some women escaped through the back door and called 911, fortunately nobody was hurt.

Okay so your at TJ Max with the family, two masked gunmen come into the store, you are conceal carrying you cant escape through the back door, your goal is save the life of you and your family.

In this case not pulling your weapon would have worked out because by a lucky chance nobody was hurt anyway and no shots were fired However, as we all know it doesnt always work out that way.

What would you do in this scenario?

Not to sound dense, but how is this any different from any other "what-if" scenario posted previously on this board?

From former Marine to former Marine;Thats all I get..... come on Devil Dog!

You are fully aware that not every scenario is the same, so previous posts cannot be exaclty like this scenario.

What would you do? You got your family with you at TJ Max, you are conceal carrying, they are taking hostages, there are two of them, and both are armed, You are the only armed maie in the store, and most of the hostages are women and all hostages are unarmed. You just recently read in the paper about a women's clothing store where the women were taken hostage and then shot in the head.

It is hard to say exactly what I would do, but in this case I think I am shooting. If I understand the story correctly, there are only two gunmen, and they are taking hostages so it is not a simple robbery. I think I would vote for drawing, shooting and taking my chances. Thankfully everything worked out here, but you can't count on it.

I would create a "death-spiral" with my guns blazing, shooting madly in every direction. Or, I would run screaming like a little girl out the door. Your choice.

Ummm...would it be ok if we stopped assuming that the women were unarmed?

Except I would combine the two!
Or, use the TJ Max inventory to fool the bad guys into thinking I was an old lady, thereby insuring they would select me as a hostage, then start telling them about my sewing class and grand children, possible boring them to sleep, allowing every else to escape. Then I would scold them the bad guys and make them clean up their mess. Well, thats just one scenario.

Edited after re-reading prior posts. Marines huh? Thank you for keeping my family free :tiphat: (seriously)
That said, here's anouther version (since the whole family is present in this scenario)
And of course this is just speculation - I would do anything that would keep my family unharmed. So after soiling my pants, I would try to draw at exactly the same time as my better half and hope to live to post about the stupid expressions on the bad guys faces when the short bald guy with the pretty wife pulled twin Glock .40s and - carefull now - stopped the threat! Then I would buy fresh pants.

I wouldn't shop inside a TJ Max unless I had Madea along to protect me from the bad mens. :smilelol5:

 There are a great many things not posited in the scenario that would influence my chosen response.

The answer to this scenario is easy:

Roundhouse kick that would send both robbers crashing through the glass doors followed by a witty one-liner.

Problem solved with no shots fired. This is clearly the best solution.

Thanks for the respsonses. I liked the combination of creating a death spiral and running like a little girl.

I personally have no answer at the moment. I think in the mood I am in today I would just calmly say "Are you guys freaking serious, I'm not in the mood." and then politely pull off the 13 rounds in my glock.
