How does one find a local 2nd amendment attorney?
I've read through some old threads and I know about concealedcarrylegal.com and chlpp.com, but how does one find an actual local 2nd amendment attorney? Is there a database somewhere that could be queried?

It appears that 2nd A issues is not a profitable issue that Lawyers feel is worth advertising......

Here is are some more focused lists:

A 2nd Amendment specific search (HERE) returns zero results.

Have you tried contacting the NRA (Civil Rights Defense Fund) for a recommendation?

Your post does not explain why you are looking but they would likely know anyone practicing in this area of specialization.

This is interesting. Looking through the list at lawyers.com (thanks TAM) I actually saw one attorney in my own town, who I know personally (quite well, actually). I know he's a real estate attorney mostly, but I'll talk to him in a couple days and see if he does more than this.
It's an unfortunate reality in the livestock business that one has to occasionally defend their livestock from aggressive dogs running at large. I figure one of these days I may actually need to hire an attorney so I might as well get to know one now.

Maybe I am nitpicking, but in my mind a "2nd Amendment Attorney" would be one who works for the NRA or other such organization. This type of lawyer would file briefs or work on appeals. Since they are employees of the organization or law firm, these type of attorneys don't advertise.
The chances are if a CHLer needs legal representation, he doesn't need a 2nd Amendment or Civil Rights lawyer. I am assuming that The Armed Farmer is looking for an attorney who could defend a CHL who was arrested and charged with a crime. In that case he would want a criminal defense attorney. Maybe the feeling is that one would get a better defense from a lawyer was "CHL friendly" and/or familiar with the CHL laws. I don't think that would be necessarily true.

Well, somewhat. I'm not planning on committing any crimes, though.WildBill wrote:I am assuming that The Armed Farmer is looking for an attorney who could defend a CHL who was arrested and charged with a crime.

Interesting... I appreciate your thoughts on the subject.WildBill wrote:Maybe the feeling is that one would get a better defense from a lawyer was "CHL friendly" and/or familiar with the CHL laws. I don't think that would be necessarily true.

I found this one in Dallas:

Scroll down to "Weapons Violations".
Hope that helps

I have big problem with the search algorithm that these sites use. One of the lawyers listed for a "Texas CHL defense" search in San Antonio lists her specialties as "Child Support Collection and Enforcement in all Texas counties, Personal Injury, Business Litigation". The problem is that it searches for Texas OR CHL OR defense. I looked at a few of the results and not one applied to the search. The Annoyed Man wrote:Here is are some more focused lists:

And they don't even let you use qualifies as Google does, such as "+texas +defense +chl".
