Sounds like a single sad man holed up in a church on Saturday rather than hostage situation.

Apparently he had held his wife as a hostage but she escaped.

Why would anyone need to take their gun to church?

Because there are bad people in this world that think nothing of doing bad things in churches. Be it a situation like this one was or like many of the others that occur. Just run a Google search for church shootings, there are a number of them.bdickens wrote:Why would anyone need to take their gun to church?

I'm going to guess it was a rhetorical question...ammo two wrote:Because there are bad people in this world that think nothing of doing bad things in churches. Given the nature of this forum, I would have thought that the sarcasm was obvious.

This is the problem with posting...sometimes you know and sometimes you don't know when someone is being sarcastic.ammo two wrote:Because there are bad people in this world that think nothing of doing bad things in churches.
