Four police officers shot and killed in WA

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

In the spirit of this forum, the murder of these officers reminds us that we never know the moment when our life will be demanded of us.

Yes, it does.

Well, they got him and surprise surprise he didn't make it to the hospital.

Also, Mike Huckabee stated his position on commuting his sentence years ago. I may owe him an apology on this issue.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

FOUR armed, armored, and experienced officers, who I presume were reasonably well trained, and one (or perhaps two?) gunman was able to storm in and end their lives. Shows that the mere possession of a firearm does not make one invincible and reinforces the need for situational awareness.
Having a gun give you a chance to fight. Doesn't mean you'll win the fight, just mean you have a chance that you would not otherwise have.
The best weapon is the mind. If you don't use yours, then whatever other weapons you may possess could very well be useless.
I do NOT mean to put down these officers. (I know almost nothing about them, nothing about their state of awareness, and only what I've read about how this situation played out.) I'm just hoping that we can learn from this and thereby take something positive from this tragedy.

The great poem, "For Whom the Bells Toll" by John Donne suggests that he knows not for whom the bells toll; e.g:
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee. , the bells toll for thee
We all know for whom the bells toll, the unanswered question is WHEN?

Hmmm? The left coast, Il, WI, NY and other states have rather restrictive gun laws. Do you reckon, just for a moment, that these restrictive gun laws could give off a false sense of security causing one to be less aware thinking that this sort of thing couldn't happen "here"...to me?

I pray that the family of these fallen officers find peace knowing their loved ones died doing something they loved. RIP my friends....your troubles here are over!
