Just ordered the new LMT MRP piston 16

Post by gigag04 »

Even with LE priority it will take until 4.10.10 to get it in.

Oh well....In the meantime I can pick out my light and sight...mags...ammo...sling and all the other things a patrol rifle will need.

For you regular AR shooter people...wheres the best value on target ammo? I am limited to what I can get through our LE vendors on individual officer purchases each month so I'll be supplementing that with purchases elsewhere.

Anyone have an eotech or aimpoint they're looking to part with?

Very nice LMT.............you aren't getting it until April 2010? I'd never be able to wait that long, I'm so impatient. I'm sure it will be worth the wait though.

I've had my ammo for some time and can't remember where I got it but I do know it was ordered on the internet. Couldn't find any ammo locally even close to what I could get it online.

Congratulations on your purchase. :thumbs2:

Try looking at ammunitiontogo.com, ammoman.com, and aimsurplus.com. Awesome purchase on an awesome rifle. You will enjoy...

Wal Mart in this area has had some 100 round packs of Federal 55 gr FMJ for about $40.

Yep, best price I have seen for new ammo (I never go to gun shows though). I have seen reloads cheaper, but I do not like reloads.

I remembered where I ordered some ammo awhile back (I order cases of 1000 or 2000).....Palmetto State Armory. My order went smoothly and I received the ammo quickly.

Depending on the brand you want, they seem to still have some good prices. PMC Bronze 55 gr $7 box of 20 or $339 for 1000 rounds. Of course they have other brands.

Very nice. Don't think I could wait that long, though.

You'll like it, it doesn't get nearly as dirty as a DI upper. I've had a 12" LMT piston upper for about 9 months now.

May I ask, why the vertical front grip?
The most ergonomic grip while aiming is 30 to 45 degree grip.

Is it a personal preference?
