Bell, Leon, Falls, Bastrop Counties:Rapist needs shooting.

Leon County, Texas

From October 26, 2009 Austin channel 8:

Law enforcement officials suspect a home invasion in Leon County is connected to a serial rapist who has been terrorizing elderly women in rural areas of Texas for months.

On Saturday, police say a man broke into the home of an 81-year-old woman.

The woman had a handgun and managed to fire several shots, scaring the man away.

The burglar got away with some cash and other items, but the woman was not hurt.

Investigators believe this incident may be connected to a series of sexual assaults on elderly women across four Central Texas counties, including Bell County.

At least seven women have been attacked since January.

All are over 60, widows and live alone in rural areas.

The story doesn't state the other 2 Central Texas counties affected (besides Bell and Leon).
The 81 year old woman was correct in shooting, but it appears that she missed.
Anyone reading this story from those 4 counties: Please make sure your female friends and loved ones are
armed and ready to pull the trigger should this lowlife visit them.

Shame she didn't hit him I've got relatives in Leon County including several 75-90 year old aunts. Most of them would have pulled either 12 or 20 gauge there was always a loaded shotgun, deer rifle, and 22 to dispatch various varmints or squirrels for some dumplings.

5thGenTexan:

Have you called your aunts for a friendly howdy and to make sure they've
got enough ammo should this guy visit their homes?

Also, they may wish to carry a handgun "on body" in case their shotgun's in the other room.

If they didn't catch the story in the papers or whatever they watch, they
may not be aware of the threat.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I think targeting elderly ladies in rural Texas is just plain suicide. Way too many of them have guns and no how to use them. The rapist is lucky this lady missed, most will do better.

This is the latest video detailing the towns and counties in which the rapist
has operated. The victims are elderly women, living alone, and ranging in
age from 65-91. 8 different LEO depts are looking for this man.

The rapist is a young, thin, dark skinned man between 5'6" and 6'0" tall.

The towns of Temple, Rosebud, Seaton, Bastrop, Luling, Zabickville, and Yoakum
have been struck by this serial rapist.

These towns are on or near Highways US 77 and 95.

Please arm all the women you know in this area and take them shooting
so they will know what to expect from their weapon if they need to
shoot this guy.

Maddest of propers to SIA for this info and advice. I must say, however, why wait for this sort of thing for such advice? I try like heck to arm and educate everyone I know, particularly the women. All of us are in this to defend our properties, our lives, heck, simply our very existence. My old lady doesn't begrudge when I nap on the couch with a handgun on the bottom shelf of the coffee table. She kids me about it every few months, but then relayed a story 'bout a woman that was abducted, abused, and abandoned in Fair Park recently. Real close to home. Haven't told her bout the gun resting on the sink when I'm in the john. Baby steps, you understand. Stay safe and aware, my friends.

Well the way I see it is that evil could be anywhere.

But since this is a clearly identified threat in a certain set of counties,
I am just trying to get this thread higher up in the active threads since
it's so important to get the word out.

No one deserves to be raped. And for all anyone knows, someone who
is updated via this thread may provide their female loved ones with the
gun that will keep them from becoming the next victim.

I do apologize if'n it seemed like I was calling you out. I most assuredly agree that evil IS everywhere. Thank you for alerting the fine folks in that area that a crime wave was in progress. I grew up in Bell County, Belton, the county seat, and still have a few people down there. Please understand the occasionally when I post, I have been at work for 13 hours, have had a beer or two, plus maybe a shot, and this seems like a good time to get on the old interweb. My intention was not to belittle your acknowledgement, but rather to raise a call to constant Condition Yellow. The price of Freedom is Vigilance. 24/7. The other option, if I have read this forum correctly, is to guess right. Have a good set of Holidays,my friend, and may you spend the rest of your days in peace. I extend this blessing to all of my boardmates, and to humanity in general.

Although I think lead poisoning is way too good for scum like that maybe slow painful lead poisoning might be ok but nothing qiuck or painless. Nobody deserves to get raped especially not the elderly.

In fact, 'bout a month ago, my very own girlfriend had a tale to tell. She had been working a night shift to assist the owners of the place she works. It was late, but I got home before her, 'round 3 A.M.. This is very unusual. She told me later that she pulled up in front of the duplex, noticed that a car was following, stopped right behind her. She then pulled a U-turn in the middle of the street, was followed. Acted as though she was on the phone getting directions, large hand gestures and such, then pulled away. Once she reached the end of the block, her would-be-stalker turned the other way. She told me that she didn't want to call me then, as she was certain I would have come downstairs with the shotgun. Must say she was correct. I told her that in the future, if'n I was at work, or she felt the least threatened to high-tail it to the fire station a couple blocks away, and blow the living heck out of her horn. That is until I can see to it that she carries regular. Her Jeep has a soft top, and both of us are concerned 'bout leaving an iron in her car. In the mean time, told her I was proud that she had her wits about her, noticed something screwy, and acted accordingly.

9mm get a good quality gun safe & bolt it down. I drive a twelve year old Plymouth that I permenantly disabled the tunk access from the car interior on so I feel comfortable locking mine at work in the spare tire well at work.
