New Addition to the Firearm Family

Post by TLynnHughes »

We have a new addition to the family and I'm so happy I could dance!! :anamatedbanana

I'm the proud new owner of an H&K USP 9mm Compact. I can't wait to get it to the range and put some rounds through it. If all goes according to plan, it will be my new carry and the Taurus will become a nightstand gun.

Picture quality isn't the best, but I was too anxious to share the good news! :woohoo

Thank you Beiruty and joe817! I really fell in love with the H&K's when I just happened across my full size USP 9. Call me strange, but it's like that gun and I have bonded. :rolll So I have pretty high expectations for this little Compact. I hope it doesn't let me down. So far, I'm happy. Hope to have a full range report by the end of the week.

Your shooting H&K, you won't be disappointed. They are some of the finest guns on the market. Congrats and excellent choice!

Oh goodness...you give me WAY too much credit. You obviously didn't witness my humiliating performance on the Texas Star at forum day. I think about 7 first time shooters got the courage to go after I did it because they figured they couldn't do much worse. :smilelol5:

TLynnHughes:

So you are going to stop using your PT-111 for your carry piece.

Now you won't have the added excitment of seeing what your PT-111
does if you drop it from your jacket while leaving a restaurant!!

(See Sherman CHL accident thread).

Congrats on your new HK. Beiruty's got one too, that's why he was
so quick on the congrats to you.

I echo the above sentiments. I have one in .40 cal, and it's a good gun.

Thanks guys! I really do love the gun, almost more than the full size that I shoot. I did finally get to the range with it just before Christmas. I wrote a quick range report (the link to that is: http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=30363)

I'm really becoming a die hard H&K fan.
