Please pray for my father

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Please pray for my father

Post by Rex B »

Dad is 85, a D-Day veteran, retired Air force, a practicing Christian.
After a recent fall and head injury he is on a respirator and our family will be making a difficult decision this weekend.
Please keep Dad and us in your prayers.

I'm so sorry. I know, from experience, how hard these decisions are and also how easy it can be to unjustly punish oneself afterwards.

I'll pray for your father, but I'll pray for you too.

I'm sorry you're placed in this position. Hopefully your father let you know his wished should he ever be in this position.

You, your family and your father are in my prayers.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

I just saw this thread and we will pray for you and your family. It's hard losing your Dad, I know mine died when I was only 26. But since he knew the Lord, it's only a temporary loss.

The last stanza of a poem I wrote back in 1991, when my GG (great-grandmother) passed:

"Now we rise, and call you blessed, as He wipes away our tears.
We'll hold you always in our hearts, as you rest in His light.
And since I'll see you once again, when He's numbered my years,
I will not say 'Good-bye,' dear one, I'll only say 'Good night.' "

Hope this helps.
