OUCH! That was funny. Amazingly small action for such a large caliber. I get the feeling those guys really didn't know how to hold a big bore rifle, much less shoot one.

Thats a compilation of vids from here: http://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You have to be logged in as a member to see them now though. There are a few in the vids though that do know how to handle the beast.

You got that right. I could tell which ones were going to be thumped hard before they even touched the thing off. Weight evenly distributed or on the back leg...spine leaning back as if dreading the recoil...serious cheek weld issues...

With all the guys dropping the rifle, I suspect most had never fired a heavy caliber rifle of any type before. (And by "heavy caliber" I mean anything larger than an AK47.)

There are a whole lot of experienced deer hunters who would drop that rifle. A .577 T-rex produces almost 11,000 pounds of muzzle energy (almost four times .30-06 energy).

Even in a 14 pound rifle, that is a HUGE recoil.
