South Fort Worth. Exit Hulen off I-20. Go south about a mile. Turn right on Oakmont. The Walmart will be on your right.

I was in WalMart in Greenville over the weekend and decided to check out their ammo prices. While doing so I overheard part of a conversation between the Sporting Goods Associate and a man buying a hunting license. The Associate was talking about the Walmarts in the DFW area discontinuning the sale of guns. Her next comment was "we sell too many guns here for them to stop carrying them in this store." It would seem that in some areas of deep east and deep west Texas where there is a lot of hunting, Walmart would be missing the boat if they stopped sellng guns and ammo. In some towns, it might be the only place available.

Thanks and got over there today...and one in Irving and Hurst as well; were also selling for $4.63 on the WWB50/9mm. Thanks again, u saved me some money today...even with gas prices from LBJ and Tollway area!

By the way...the salesman at Wally World in Hurst told me they had their sale on long guns / shotguns last weekend and then shipped them back up to AR and/or to the warehouse....he said their weren't making enough on each gun to make the space worthwhile...that was just his thought...he wasn't mgr of that area....
They haven't had handguns in quite long time he told me.
...Guess they sell enough ammo...all types to make it worthwhile....

You might find differences between stores in the same town, too. We have two stores in Odessa, and there are two in Midland.

One store in Odessa, carries no reloading supplies, the other has several reloading kits, powders, primers brass, and all kinds of shotgun stuff.

One store in Midland has probably 6 times as much stuff as the Odessa store, and dies for nearly every caliber i've ever heard of. They also have 3 or 4 different branded reloading kits.

Phillip I too heard that same thing, and I agree it'd be quite a stupid business move(from my perspective).
