Anybody recognize this part?
Got the Star BKM from Rex and this part was in the box but dont seem to fit anywhere. I like to think I know 1911's and this aint familiar.

that's the mag safety. It fits under the right grip if you wanbt to reinstall it.
It just presses in by hand.

You should keep it in case you ever sell the gun.
The new owner should make his own choice as to whether to install it.
