Best Pepper Spray

Post by AustinBoy »

So the wife just took the CHL class with me. (Christmas present, she is the best!)
She is not ready to carry but wants to get some pepper spray.

Opinions?

What is the best?

She wants something small. Doesnt want to carry a huge "thing" in her purse.

Thanks

I like the one from Kimber. No personal exp. just like the set up.

What they said ^

Kimber: awesome, but only 2 shots

Fox: more flexible, many sizes and streams

While Fox Labs spray is good, it doesn't have any tear gas in it - Freeze +P does and I've found it better in turning attacking dogs while out cycling.

Pepper spray is effective on some - sometimes isn't on others. The tear gas component then comes into play...

However, no spray is always effective on all critters, be they dog or human.

Abraham gave a great report on White Fox Labs spray back in the summer, and its effectiveness. I'll be going with that one. :tiphat:

I have not actually tried either pepper spray or wasp spray but have read that wasp spray works just as well or better than pepper spray, which kind of makes sense given that wasp spray is a poison.

Update:
After all the replys I decided to go with Fox Labs.
The gentelman on the phone was EXTREMELY nice and explained in detail how to use the product effectively.

My wife had asked, if I am supposed to pratice with the gun, how do I practice with the pepper spray?

They have test units!! Picked up 2 of those so she can practice before ever having to use it, God forbid.

I havent received the product yet but just by the phone conversation I would highly recommend them.
