2010-2011 Texas Almanac: 736 pages covers all things Texan.

Post by surprise_i'm_armed »

The 1/17/10 (Sunday) edition of the Dallas Morning News contains an article
by Rober Miller about the information-packed new edition of the Texas
Almanac.

Unfortunately I could not provide a link to the long article, probably because
the website doesn't publish it until the publish date of the paper. I had seen
this in the "early" edition, which was available on Saturday.

This 736 page book contains large amounts of data on the state of Texas, including 295
maps of Texas including maps of all 254 Texas counties which are very detailed
and quite useful for those who travel around the state.

I'll wait until Sunday and see if I can publish the link.

The Texas Almanac had been situated at UT/Austin, but now lives at UNT, Denton.

It had been published by Belo Corp (news-related holding corp) but now belongs to
TSHA, the Texas State Historical Society. http://www.tshaonline.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
The TSHA's 114th annual meeting will be held March 4,5,6, 2010 in Dallas.

$19.95 for the paperback, $29.95 for the hardcover.
