Taurus M44 at the range w/vid

I shot 50 rounds of 44 special hand loads I made a couple of months ago, all went bang and were a pleasure to shoot, the Fiocchi 240gr 44 mags were not so pleasant as you can see in the vid. The gun is so light and the kick is pretty severe wtih full loads. I've been carrying it a lot lately in my man purse, it's just so easy to carry and no worries of staying concealed.

Nice gun! But you're right....the kick IS severe. Did your hands hurts afterwards? For me shooting hand cannons is not a pleasant experience.

I had a Ruger Blackhawk in .41 mag. back in the 60's that I had to get rid of for that reason.

Nice gun! But you're right....the kick IS severe. Did your hands hurts afterwards? For me shooting hand cannons is not a pleasant experience.

I had a Ruger Blackhawk in .41 mag. back in the 60's that I had to get rid of for that reason.

My hand still hurts a bit, but not as bad as yesterday, I showed my wife the red hand, she laughed.

If the gun is tough/painful to shoot...what made you want one to begin with? Other than the mega hand cannon 6-8in barrel models are any of them easy to shoot or do they all beat you up real bad. I am wanting a .357mag revolver in a medium frame for a night stand gun. I have never owned a revolver but shot a few. Yours is a nice looking wheel gun by the way.

It's only painful if I shoot over 20 rounds, emptying a cylinder is no problem, I don't think I would ever need to do that in a any situation. I practice with 44 special hand loads, same POI and less recoil. But it's not my only carry, it rotates with several 45's, depending on what I'm wearing and where I'm going, I practice with them all. I've shot the lighweight 357's, very similar recoil to the lightweight 44 mag IMO, but controllable if you practice. Thanks, I love wheel guns, they were my first
