New Sig Concealed Carry Jacket

Post by LongHairedRedneck »

Just got my Sig Sauer concealed carry jacket a few days ago. This is a great jacket and makes concealment a breeze, even put the Glock 22 for a day of test carry. With my normal carry pistol its just awesome! I will try to get a couple photos up after work.

Just a little FYI the jackets are roomy for the size listed.

Looks cool, but if they run roomy and their smallest size is medium, then it's a no-go for me.

I found that gun on one side and a couple of magazines on the other concentrated the weight mainly around the back of the neck and top of the shoulders, rather than the outside/back of the shoulders as the weight is in the front of the jacket rather than the side (like a shoulder holster). I found that uncomfortable after a while. Also the vecro opening makes a stealthy draw difficult - even with half of the velcro strip covered to ease opening.

I think it is a good bug location but I didn't pursue it for long for primary carry. I do find that style of jacket excellent for concealing an IWB though, short enough to not need a sweep to get it out of the way, but long enough to keep concealment if you reach for something. I like it for that, although a carhartt one is probably cheaper.
