LEO right to search with CHL

Not that I want an LEO ripping up my house or car in a search, but what is the big deal? What does this person have that they are so concerned that the fear of search is keeping them from getting a CHL? If an officer wanted to search my house or car, I wouldn't like it, but I wouldn't be worried because I have nothing to hide. If it is primarily a concern about giving up rights, then I guess to each his own.
