where to take CHL in fort worth area?

Post by FOURSIXTEEN »

I was just wondering if anyone had a recommendation on where would be a good place to take my CHL class. I live in SW forth worth and am looking for somewhere in the fort worth area that is both close yet good. I have read on here about some guys going and sitting through videos all day and not really getting what they might have needed. I want a informative class so I get as educated as possible while receiving good instruction at the same time. I have been a gun owner and shooter since i was young but mostly with long guns in a hunting senario and am new to the handgun spectrum. also, will I need to bring my own gun or will a gun be provided?

sorry if this topic has been covered before. I went through old topics but didn't quite find what i was looking for.

Thanks in advance.

PM Crossfire. She and her husband teaches a great class. She is a moderator here. They are in Ft. Worth and have frequent classes. Welcome to the forum.

+1 for Crossfire.

Google "Crossfire Training" and they are the first link. Linda and Marty are top notch.

They teach out of the Roanoke community center... up by Aliance. You can bring your own gun, or I am sure that they have one for you to use if you do not yet have your own... but check with them for authoritative info.

I took mine from Sgt. McGuire safeshot.com. It was a fun interesting day. He will answer any questions you have before the class starts if you just shoot him an email.

On Target Firearms Training Academy http://www.ontargetfirearms.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . Located on 377 south of Ft Worth in Wheatland (Whiskey Flats) at 1187. Cost was $99.00 each and that included my wife & I using their guns and included ammo. They took care of everything prints, photos, even made sure all our paper was filled out properly. They have a very nice facility with nice restrooms which the ladies like. Their are resturants in Benbrook and a couple of places in Cresson for lunch. The guy we had made a very boring subject interesting and in some parts humorous. He reminded us of R. Lee Armey.

+1 for the guys at OnTarget great guys wife and I took it there as well as both of our sons. It's right at FM 1187 and 377 vert convienent to the Sw qudrant of town. Range is nothing special but they do a good and interesting class, it is all inclusive no need to go anywhere else for photo, prints, or notary service and they will verify you filled out your papers if you want happily.
