So who made it out there this morning? There was a big crowd. I got there 30 minutes early and there were already folks in line in front of me. When they finally opened the doors everyone made straight for the gun counter as the employees kept yelling "take a number". I got #5.

I picked up a stainless S&W 686 .357 Magnum with 4-inch barrel (Victoria PD trade-in) for $400. Figure I'll use it for qualifying for CHL instructor certificate if I go through with that. Found out what I thought was a 686 for $350 last time was actually a model 66. They had a few of them as well for same price, but I went with the larger heavier 686 (have fired these before and really like them).

Also picked up a Mossberg 500 with 20-inch barrel and 7-round tube for $170. It's in good shape for a cop gun. Some light rust like you'd expect, but all in all in great shape.

They had three H&K USP .45s (one was a compact) for less than $600. I was very tempted, but decided to be a good boy and only get the revolver and the shotty.

Other used items I saw this morning (no idea if still there) a lot of other shotguns, a few bolt-action rifles, some Colt AR-15s for less than $900, a ton of Glock trade-ins for $300-$325 including some Glock 21s in .45 ACP (hadn't seen those there before). Some Sigs, bunch of Para-Ordnance 1911s, Beretta .380s still in the case from last time. At least 6 or 7 other S&W .357 Magnums after I picked up mine.

I went at lunch time yesterday, I knew it was going to be busy but wow it was so busy I could not even get close to the counter to look. I may go over there at lunch today and see what leftovers they have.
