Problem with Walther P99, striker not releasing?
So I have an odd problem I am no even sure I can describe it in words, but here it goes. So I was with my dad and we were talking guns and pulled out my P99 which hadnt been shot in almost a year. So after making sure it was unloaded, I was comparing trigger pulls between the P99 and my Colt 1911. The Walther got one dry fire that went off without a hitch (pull the trigger to the halfway SA point, then all the way through with the striker releasing and giving an audible click). I went to pull it again in DA mode and the visible cocking indicator came all the way out, but there was no click and plenty of tension that could be felt in the trigger. Thats about it....after that moment now every time I pull the trigger to the rear, the cocking indicator comes out and the trigger is fully depressed to the rear but doesn't slip off the sear (or whatever releases the stirker...not an expert). Doesn't matter if it is in double action or single action, but when in single action it still decocks normally. The only thing of note is that when SA mode, when you draw the trigger back there is no tension felt and then where the striker should release and ride home to the primer, the cocking indicator falls back into the slide and all the striker spring tension is pushing back on your finger. Sorry if my description is not the best, but it is harder to describe than replicate. Any ideas? Seems like every one of my guns I touch lately breaks!
