Precision Bullets.

Anyone have experiences with these guys?

They are from Texas and it seems to be a good compromise between exposed leaded bullets and jacketed ammo. Best of all is it doesn't foul out your barrel. Since they say that it has lubricating properties, does that mean you don't need to use case lube when reloading? Comments appreciated.

I've shot a bunch of these and have been quite pleased. They are cleaner than lead, cheaper than FMJ and are accurate.

I did have some issues with them leaving too much residue in the chambers of my revolvers though. After about 100 rounds, I would have to scrub the chambers or the new rounds wouldn't seat well. In my pistols there were no problems.

Thanks for the comment GrandmasterB. My only question would be the case lube. Do you use any case lube to ease the reloader operation?

I'll probably buy a couple cases just to try it out.

No lube necessary. I just load 'em up! I have a Dillon Square Deal B press and couldn't be happier with it.

I, too, am a big fan of Precision Bullets. Clean, accurate, consistent.

You won't need any case lube for any brand of bullet when reloading conventional straight wall handgun cartridges using carbide dies. You might choose something like Hornady one shot to make the resizing step a little smoother and easier but it's not required. Bottleneck cases and steel sizing dies are horses of an entirely different stripe.

Question... (for those of you who load with Precision bullets)
Do you use your data for FMJ's or for cast bullets?

After reading Precision's web page, I'm unclear because, even though they're cast bullets, they supposedly perform like FMJ's.

That's a good question. I would like to find this out before the bullets arrive.

Thanks for the info! I'll be using my cast bullet data for Precision's 230 gr. product. Since I don't shoot IPSC, I'm not worried about Power Factors ... but they're interesting just the same.
